10th Annual Seminar with the Dunn County Master Gardeners
Saturday, March 7th, 2020
Dunn County Community Services Building
3001 US Hwy 12 East | Menomonie
(former Dunn County Health Care Building)
*enter basement level door on West side of building
Sessions will include:
Native Plants in the Landscape… Native plants can provide unique beauty and other benefits for ourselves, local wildlife and pollinators. You can fit them into existing gardens and landscapes. Learn what makes a plant “native” to your area, and how to enhance your landscape with native plants.
Small Space Gardening… You don’t need a huge garden space to grow fresh vegetables or beautiful summer flowers. Productive gardening can be done in very small spaces. Learn about different ways to garden in small spaces, including “lasagna” gardening, straw bale gardens, pallet gardens and container gardens.
- Diana Alfuth, presenter, is a Horticulture Outreach Specialist for University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Extension. She has Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Horticulture from the University of Minnesota, with special emphasis in Landscape Design and Plant Pathology.
