Youth in Grades K-5 grade are invited to attend the FREE Dunn County 4-H Project Discovery Day. This event will feature some of the most popular projects that 4-H has to offer. Club leaders and 4-H staff will be on hand to answer any questions. Whether you are interested in learning more about the program or just looking for a fun morning activity, Project Discovery Day is for you!

Project Sessions
Canning – Refrigerator Pickles
Pickling is a time honored tradition, and a project that many 4-H members participate in. Learn the science of safely preserving foods using research based methods. Each participant will make a jar of pickles to take home.
Cat Project
Interested in showing animals at the fair, but don’t live on a farm? The Cat Project is for you! This hands on session will demonstrate how to care for a cat, teach what is needed to show a cat, and include cat fun facts! Even if you are not interested in showing a cat at the fair, this session is purrrfect for the cat lover.
Dog Project
Learn how members of the dog project work with their dogs and how they can compete at the fair and other 4-H events!
Dogs will be on hand to demonstrate obedience, rally, nose work, and agility.
Legos
Did you know that you can take your lego creations to the fair?! Learn from current 4-H members the different ways to participate in the Lego project and compete in Lego challenges!
Fire Tile Art
Turn simple tiles into dazzling works of art! Using markers, rubbing alcohol, and a quick flame, you’ll create vibrant, one-of-a-kind designs that pop with color. Come try this exciting craft and take home your own unique masterpiece!
Photography
Come see why Photography is one of the most popular project areas in Dunn County. This session will show what is involved with the photography project, show a few quick tips and tricks, and include a photography themed 4-Corners Game!
Power Up With Circuits
Conduct an experiment to see which you can make into a battery by using pumpkins, apples, lemons, or potatoes to light up a lighthouse.
